Radiohead tool new album paul simon
"This next track is crazy, but nuts brilliant in a very good way", "I can hear your Michael Jackson, definitely" : BBC Radio Devon, 20/02/16 - Just before Us [single]
Before Us [album] is an uplifting record choc-full of funky and also smooth numbers. It somehow manages to mix 6 awesome years of varied influences above Duncan Alex’s own incredibly initial and invigorating prog-pop/rock/RnB end projects. Smooth vocals are positioned against 70's/80's- style vocoder along with fluid, gritty guitar riffing through Exmouth local guitar good guy Ian Davey, underpinned by alternately comfortable and foot-stomping basslines. This music adventure has several shocks in store, such as the husky colors of guest singer Jess Hatton-Brown. It starts fantastic and gets best of all, rewarding repeated concentrates, leaving you wanting far more. BBC radio described the particular track ‘Before Us’ as, “so considerably happening that it shouldn’t function but it flippin' well does…we don’t discover how you do it, just keep carrying it out!” - So state we all.

Since literally before this individual was born, Duncan Alex listened avidly to any or all kinds of music (their Mum was a singer). But he 1st felt the itchiness to write his own songs in his late adolescents. It started generally with layering vocals and beats, utilizing a cassette walkman to dual up tracks, after that doubling those, next getting a keyboard and also 4-track, then buying a Laptop or computer to be able to produce a many more layering and parts.
After many years producing cassette demo tapes at home, he worked his means towards actual studio time, and produced a debut Air. It got Foreign national airplay on children's station Triple J, and was written up inside Rolling Stone magazine as “classy and promising".
A great deal has happened considering that, in music, plus life - and also life’s experiences tried but failed to draw Duncan away from writing and making in his spare time, as well as collaborating with others. He’s created hundreds of songs. He’s published and sung within covers and old ones electric and acoustic guitar bands, and when the idea first became very easy to do so he also worked with remotely. An in-person collaborator, many other indie singer-songwriter Jess Hatton-Brown, is now actually remote (living in Nantes) and then she features on a beautifully sung track around the new album. The principle collaborator on this new lp, however, is Ian Davey. Duncan achieved this particular rock god guitarist a few years back again, and it became apparent that together they might produce something excellent, but very different. Several demos have been documented, and some have been converted to records for this record.
